I learned this week I am speaking at two Canadian conferences during spring/summer 2017. My abstracts were accepted at both Prairie Dev Con in Winnipeg, MB and DevTeach in Montreal, QC.

PrDCLogo_SmallPrairie Dev Con 2017 runs June 6 – 7, 2017. The Winnipeg-based event is the 12th conference organized by D’Arcy Lussier and his team over the past six years. PrDC is the premiere developer event in the Prairies. It focuses on providing “a high quality professional development opportunity locally, without the high costs of travel and accommodation typically associated with remote conferences.”

While in Winnipeg I am giving two presentations:

  • Cross-Platform Deployment of ASP.NET Core Applications
  • Use PaaS Apps to Accelerate Your Development

A few weeks later, I travel to Montreal for DevTeach which runs July 3 – 7, 2017. I enjoyed my visit there last year and I am looking forward to returning. DevTeach 2017 focuses on open source technologies which is fantastic as Montreal has an active developer community. The event also coincides with Montreal’s 375th anniversary, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Montreal International Fireworks Competition.

DevTeach’s mission is “where we see the developers taking control of their future. We see developers forming a strong and organized community, which can influence the future of the product that we use.”

While in Montreal I am giving two presentations:

  • Google Cloud for .NET Developers
  • What’s The Deal with APIs in Azure?

You can find abstracts for these talks, and for all the other speakers, on the DevTeach Sessions page.

If you are planning to attend either of these great Canadian conferences, please introduce yourself in the comments section below or at the conference. I look forward to speaking with you.
